Our Local Church

Our Link Parish Church

At Parsons Heath Church we have strong links to our local parish church.

Our local church is ‘St Andrew’s Church’ in Greenstead.  Our Reverend, who leads our Collective Worship every Wednesday, is called Reverend Sue Howlett. Reverend Sue is an active member of our Governing Body.

Reverend Sue is involved in the planning of our Collective Worship and leads special collective worship sessions throughout the year, including our annual Eucharist service.

Every year, we visit the church for a special Christmas service. Year 3 visit the church as part of their RE learning, and Year 6 attend the church for a special ‘farewell’ service at the end of their time at Parsons Heath.

The church provide support for the school through the Christian Youth Outreach mentoring programme and ‘Bounce’, which is an initiative that supports Year 6 in their transition to secondary school. We are also starting a joint project called ‘iSingpop’ that allows schools and churches to explore worship together.
